Leaving Kathmandu , our new plan & contact details

After being in Kathmandu for a week we have a new plan. Thanks to Rob, Chiran,( especially) , and Ganga we leave for a 12 hour micro bus trip ( yes another bus!) on Thursday morning for the district of Gulmi, Tamhgas where the first Hope Centre was established. Ganga is traveling with us, she is the Manager of the centre. As discussions have unfolded it looks as though Mark will be assisting her with the financial systems and the general management of the centre . He will also probably be transporting Ganga up the hill to the centre on a small motor bike that Rob has at the centre. Apparently the road is too steep for some people to walk up who have lower limb prostheses .( Ganga has bilateral below knee amputations )
My role will likely be some very home grown occupational therapy. Ganga informed me yesterday that she is already organising for people from the surrounding villages to travel to the centre whilst I am there. There is a physiotherapist at the centre but no OT. Should be interesting as I have not idea what to expect.

Whilst there Ganga would like us to go to her village during the Teej festival to stay with her family. We have about 2 weeks in Gulmi in total and will be staying a a local guest house( details to come) . There is '24' hour internet access at the centre minus the power cuts which are frequent and often during the day fromwhat we ahve been told.

Next stop Chitwan ( 3 days approx)where there is a new health centre . Sita a sociology student who is also working part time for VAD is based here . There is also a well known National park here which we hope to get time to see.

Finally Chatara in the Sinsari district for 2 weeks.

My contact mobile number in Nepal is ; (+977 ) 9841863757

We have extended our visa's so we have to leave Nepal before the 17th of October . We will travel across the boarder to Darjeeling down through India and make our way back for our flight out of Delhi.
