Wiring and cellphones -everywhere !

Everyone has a cell phone and local calls are as cheap as 1rupee! Wi Fi in all the cafes and many homes from what we have been told . You see impoverished people - a person barbecuing corn over a fire on roadside with a cell phone to their ear , to people talking on cellphones as a pillion passenger on motor bike . (Pillion passengers don't need to wear helmets but the rider must wear one, not sure of the logic of this but I suspect it is more related to costs and practicality ie not having a spare helmet on hand when you just pick someone or several people up from the side of the road!)

There are regular power surges( besides mine of course! ) and at least one electricity cut for up to 1-2 hours a day . Generators kick into action . One outside our bedroom!

Wiring is 'interesting' ( see photo) and hangs very low in places .
