We went to
Dharan for the day with
Pawan who volunteered to show us the sights . We caught a jeep there, Mark on the roof with 20 others and me inside next to the driver. The heat from the engine radiating through the rusted out jeep floor . I couldn't put my feet down due to the heat so they stayed on the dash board , or what remained of this. The door was held closed by some electrical cable tied in a knot from the outside as the floor latch did not work .
On the way back we caught a local bus and we were just a few
kms out of
Dharan crossing the river when we got stuck, big time. After several attempts to get out and
alot of people walking around the bus pointing, talking and placing stones under the wheels , it dug in further and it as everyone out! Men pushing the bus.....fruitless.

We had to walk all the way back to
Chatara- 10
kms! Trekking
Pawan said, all part of the Nepal
experience. Luckily I had my umbrella and we did see some wild monkeys on the way back, but no buses or jeeps to pick us up.
hahahahaha thats hilerous! Be sure to grab a monkey for me :)
